MIND & MAGIC – The Art of Wonder
A realm of wonder and illusion, IITF’s international magic talent contest brings magical creativity to the global stage. Acts are judged on creativity, technical execution, and audience engagement. Performers should build suspense, maintain flawless execution, and leave the audience in awe. Safety is paramount for dangerous stunts. This category rewards acts that make the impossible seem real while keeping entertainment at the forefront.

Magicians
This wow factor category welcomes the stage magicians to act with sleight-of-hand, close-up magic to bring enthusiasm and fun to the magician competition. Judging standards are originality of tricks, impeccable execution, mastery of misdirection, and overall presentation. Magicians need to exhibit technical complexity without sacrificing good storytelling. Props need to be added instead of overpowering performances. Competitors will be judged on audience interaction, suspense creation, and the “wow factor” of surprise exposures. Costume and presentation style must support the magical persona being personified. For stage setup, artists will have only 1 minute, so be quick and plan accordingly.

Mind Readers/Mentalists
In this mind-blowing category, the mind readers or mentalists will perform impossible things like prediction, intuition, and psychological influence in a short act. Mentalist talent acts can be thought transmission, object identification, or mind-reading of the audience. Judging emphasizes presentation style, apparent impossibility of the feats, and emotional effect. Contestants should not use conventional magic equipment but use psychological methods and observation skills. Special credit for innovative methods showing good knowledge of human behavior patterns. While mentalists are doing all this mind-blowing stuff, they need to make sure everyone feels comfortable and safe. They can’t have any secret helpers in the audience, and they can’t set things up before the show starts.
Jugglers
In IITF’s juggler contest 2025, jugglers are supposed to play skillfully with things like balls, rings, clubs, and some unexpected objects. Judgment will be made based on technical proficiency (number/type of objects), pattern complexity, and artistic presentation. They can choose to do the classic toss juggling, the fancy contact juggling, or come up with their own mix of the two. What we want to see is a mix of being good at juggling, which means not dropping things, keeping a steady beat, and showing off their own style and personality. Risk factors such as fire or knife juggling must adhere to strict safety guidelines. Special attention to performances involving dance, comedy, or cultural narrative through juggling.

Illusionists
At IITF’s international illusion competition, illusionists are supposed to feature grand-scale magic routines with dramatic change, vanishes, or impossible accomplishments. The judging criteria include worthiness of illusion, technicality of performance, and emotional connection. Performance may include illusions, such as floating, changing places within an eyeblink, and finding one’s way out of cramped places without any harm. The people who innovate new tricks no one has ever seen before, and have a great story or represent something from their culture, score points. The lighting and music are super important too, and their helper friends have to be perfectly in sync with them. Big equipment needs to be inspected before the show to ensure no dangerous mechanisms are used. The “impossible moment” must be a real surprise through the seeming breaking of nature’s laws.
Puppet Show Artists
Puppeteers are invited to our puppet show competition with their skillful hands, rods, strings, or shadow puppets. The judges will look for manipulation skills, character development, and storytelling integration. From classical forms like Kathputli and Wayang to modern styles, all are welcome. It’s important to make your puppets walk, talk, and gesture smoothly, all while keeping their eyes on the right spot. Voice acting talent for several characters is essential. Puppet acts must be balanced between technical control of puppets and emotional storytelling, either comedic or dramatic. Groups must coordinate movements when working with multi-operator puppets. Stage setting, lighting effects, and puppet design add to the total scoring.

Ventriloquists
We would love to onboard the talented artists at our global ventriloquist talent act, who demonstrate the skill of voice projection without apparent lip movement. Judging emphasizes vocal separation (pitch/tone distinction), puppet characterization, and comedic timing. Technical marks involve breath control, minimal jaw movement, and realistic “thrown voice” effects. Remember, you’ve got to handle that microphone properly, so everyone can hear both you and your puppet buddy loud and clear. The whole point is to make it look like you two are one amazing entertainment team, fooling everyone into believing that your little friend is talking!
Time Limit
To ensure a smooth and dynamic showcase of each talent’s performance, IITF maintains strict time durations for performances as follows:
